embracing cabin fever.

Since it's been so snowy and dreary, I've been spending lots of time in my house. I'm not the type of person to get "cabin fever" or anything, so I really don't mind being stuck at home. Of course, I can't wait for spring, but this isn't too bad. I've been keeping busy with a lot of things--blogging, working on the shop, cleaning/organizing, watching so much on Netflix Instant, and relaxing. I had a lot of relaxing to catch up on, for sure.

I "baked" the other day, too! I use quotation marks because I don't consider what I did to be actual baking. I mixed powder with one egg and water, then cookies were born. It was weird, but so easy and delicious. I used my mom's old mushroom-pattern(?) Pyrex and a wiener dog cookie cutter. (If you didn't read my guest post at Yonder, I have a great love for dachshunds.)

Then I had a few of my closest high school friends for food, drinks, and good times. I ordered a bunch of pizza and appetizers from my favorite pizzeria, and everyone brought different things--cookies, beer, white wine, a veggie platter, more beer. I busted out our 6th, 7th, 8th, and 12th grade yearbooks and we laughed and reminisced for a few hours. It was really fun to catch up with the old standards who I don't get to see very often these days.
