Well, we finally got the snow I've been waiting for! About 20" fell on Asbury Park last weekend, and I was holed up on my friends' couch seven blocks from my apartment. We snacked, drank, napped. I watched "The Martian" and "The Revenant" and did some spreadsheeting™ for my job like a real nerd. Lots of shore towns experienced heavy flooding, but AP fortunately was spared. Diana and I took a trek out into the storm one night. The snow was up to our knees, the wind was wild, and we stayed out there for maybe ten minutes at the most. Sunday morning, we went down to the beach. The waves were insane and there was snow on the sand, which I've never seen before! P.S. The "Let it Go" coloring book giveaway winner has been announced. I know everyone always says it, but this is the first year that the holidays felt truly ~stressful~ for me. As an "adult" this year (no longer a "kid" when you're pushing 30, but still have to sit at the kid's table), I had many presents to buy.
