If you've been hanging out around A Wild Tonic for a while, you probably know about my great love for Firmoo glasses. I've been working with the lovely folks at Firmoo since 2012, and I wear one of the pairs of glasses they send me almost every single day. My current favorites are the black ones I'm wearing in the first photo in this post/the photo in my sidebar. I can't say enough good things about Firmoo–solid quality, crazy-great selection, fast shipping, and helpful customer service. What more can you ask for really? Here's a few of my favorite outfits featuring my Firmoo specs: WEARING • Work It Out and WEARING • Cat Eye and Animal Print . That second post was shot in Asbury Park before I lived here! Lulu*s Style Studio 2015 at NYFW

Image
I just found this post in my drafts, guys! This event was in September, but I'm still going to talk about it today because why not? Lulu*s Style Studio events are always such a great time, and this most recent one was no exception. I brought along my sister and our long-time family friend, Alex. These Style Studio events are always super organized and run really smoothly, but this one was the best so far. Everything was wonderful. (Shout-out to Steph, Cara, and Tierney for all their hard work!) The items we picked up were: the Some Like It Haute Coral Red Jacquard Skater Dress , the Nice Two Know You Black Two-Piece Dress , and the Black Swan Drizzle Washed Grey Lace Top

REVIEW: Pink Specs from GlassesShop.com!

Image
Glasses have become part of my identity in the last few years. While they are a necessity, they can certainly be a fashion statement all on their own. I have many pairs of eyeglasses, but these are without a doubt the most unique! GlassesShop offered to send me a pair of prescription eyeglasses to review, and I decided on something a little less ordinary. These pink pretties are great for days when my outfit is a little more simple, but they're also perfect for a fun retro look too! I recently wore them on a trip down to the boardwalk with my dog Jack. Since I moved to Asbury Park, I've tried to spend as much time as I can walking around and exploring, at least until it gets too cold. This day in particular was a little breezy but offered a beautiful sky during sunset. We walked past the last Stone Pony Summer Stage show, down to the Convention Hall, and even further to the 8th Ave dog beach! We were the only ones there, so we took some selfies, read a bit of my tarot

WEARING • A Day at the Track.

Image
A little over a week ago, my whole family went to Monmouth Park Racetrack to celebrate some of our birthdays. The track has a real vintage vibe to it, which is obviously something I'm into. I'm not much of a gambler, but now and then I'll put $2 on a horse with the coolest name. That's how you're supposed to do it, right? sunglasses: Tumbleweeds Handcraft top: Vacation Vintage skirt: Topshop via Goodwill ( similar ) shoes: Lulu*s ( similar ) bag: vintage Coach jewelry: all vintage polish: Relique by LVX

Warby Parker Fall 2015 Collection

Image
Autumn is undoubtedly the best season (don't fight me) and although it's not quite here yet... I'm here today to talk about the Warby Parker Fall 2015 collection . Have you heard of Warby Parker by now? You probably have. But just in case you haven't: here's a bit of Warby Parker history! Their Fall Collection launches today! How exciting! My favorites (if I had to choose favorites) are Simone in Tea Rose and Maynard in Whiskey Tortoise. Simone's unusual two-toned style is maybe too gorgeous, and I really dig Maynard's geometric shape so much. Every frame in the Fall Collection is available through their free Home Try-On program and starts at $95. And as always, for every pair sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need. :) Today I'm sharing all the new frames (alphabetically) and where to wear them between September 23rd and December 22st. Grab a pumpkin spice latte and let's get autumnal. PAIR: Barnett WHERE TO WEAR: pumpkin picking/hau

REVIEW: Traveling with Uncommon Goods

Image
"At the core of our company is a great respect for the integrity of the creative individual and the belief that it is our responsibility to use our business to impact the world in a positive way." When I booked my flight to Belfast in June, I started packing pretty much immediately. Don't judge; I was excited! Because I'm crazy, I decided I wanted to travel for about 12 days with just a carry-on. I spent the last few months making lists and whittling them down to practically nothing. It was kinda perfect timing when the generous people at Uncommon Goods reached out to me for a product review. Uncommon Goods truly lives up to its name. I mean, have you looked at this site? I'm willing to bet you could find at least one gift that's perfect for literally every person you know. How cool is it that that most of the products they carry are created in the US, half of what they sell is handmade, and one-third of their collection incorporates recycled/upcycled m

Belfast!

Image
In a little less than two weeks, I'll be boarding a flight from Newark Liberty International Airport to Belfast, Northern Ireland. I first visited Belfast about a year ago and I freaking loved it. My dear friend Adam lives there, and after years of him telling me to visit, I finally caved. I thought Northern Ireland was just a bunch of fields and trees, and while it is quite a verdant country, I spent most of my time there in the city capital, Belfast. Adam and his girlfriend and all their friends took such good care of this American lass, when I boarded my flight home I felt like it was the last day of camp. I even got a tattoo of the famous Samson and Goliath cranes ! Belfast is a small and friendly city, with lots to do and see. I can't wait to see more of Belfast and NI in a few short days! Here are some of my favorites from last year. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. DUKE OF YORK : 7-11 Commercial Court Super-fun and pretty-crowded bar with lots of outd
