165. let's do the time warp again.

A few things on this warm Thursday morning...

First of all, did anyone see this week's "Glee?" It was all Rocky Horror songs, and it was pretty hysterical. I watched it on Hulu last night, and now I'm going to have the music in my head all day (not a bad thing). Anyway, on to the real things..

Be sure to check out the "a thought is the blossom" collection at A Wild Tonic on Etsy. Blogger Starr Crow is closing her shop, and I was lucky enough to take some of her vintage inventory off her hands. There are some amazing pieces that shouldn't be missed.

Also, everyone should check out this awesome giveaway from Where the Lovely Things Are. I want that molar necklace and every other necklace in Elaine Ho's jewelry shop, really. Click on the image to go to the page, and good luck!

Another amazing giveaway that I can't help but mention is from Pineapple Mint Vintage. That tooled leather bag is a DREAM. Click on the image to go to the page, and good luck…

Can a girl own too many pairs of great boots? Or even a guy? I have a major boot affinity, unfortunately I never buy them online because of sizing. Today's tonic tuesday selections are all boots that I would snatch up if I knew they would fit me. Maybe after work today I should stop at Goodwill with my fingers crossed for some great pairs..

Anyway, I had a blast in New Hampshire this past weekend. I'll probably do a picture post later this week. Being up in Portsmouth and/or Portland, ME really makes me want to move up there, or at least get my own place in Jersey. Hopefully soon!

I would also like to congratulate my no-reason giveaway winners. Thanks to Etsy Giveaways and everyone of you who entered. I used the random number generator at Random.org and selected four winners (one person won twice!).

Congrats on winning the gift certificates, and I hope you can all find something you love in my shop. One of the winners, Jenn fr…

163. music monday: Disney - "Grim Grinning Ghosts"

Image
I'm back from New England and back to another week at work. Major :(. However, this week is Halloween week, and Halloween will be so fun, so it's okay.

If you haven't gathered this by now, I'm a fan of Disney and I LOVE the Haunted Mansion. I recently bought this from giddygirlie and I've had it hung up for a few weeks now.

The Haunted Mansion is the perfect mix of scary and fun, and this stitch is just plain awesome. Today's song comes from the Disney ride, and it's catchy--beware!

Hey guys, just wanted to let you all know that I'll be on a mini-vacation in Portsmouth, NH this weekend.

I'll keep tweeting, but I don't know how much blogging or shop updating I'll be able to do. I'll return to normally-scheduled-programming on Monday for another "music monday" post.

To celebrate the end of the work-week, I'm having a monster sale in my shop. From 9 am today until 9 am tomorrow, there will be 50% off ALL items in the shop. Please check it out, and spread the word! (Keep in mind, too: Buy 2 items, get a 3rd (least expensive) item free + free US shipping! Refund via Pay Pal.)

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! :)

Ps. If you haven't already, make sure you enter my "no reason giveaway," since today is the last day! Entering is closed at midnight and I'll announce the winners as soon as I can.

It's been getting nice and chilly in central NJ lately. I honestly worship fall weather, and it's really a shame because "busy season" at my job runs from September to December. Instead of enjoying these beautiful, cool, clear days, I sit inside an office til dark. But! I still have my morning drives, lunch breaks, and the occasional day when I leave on time at 5 to soak up autumn. And of course, I have the weekends.

Here are some examples of amazing vintage outerwear that I would wear whilst "soaking up autumn" if I had the opportunity and/or funds. Click on the image to go to the Etsy listing.

160. music monday: Ryan Adams - "This House Is Not For Sale [Live]"

My boyfriend introduced me to this song about a year ago, then he put it on a mix I asked him to make for me comprised of "wintry music." Ever since, it's reminded me of this time of year. The boy also told me that apparently the song is about the movie "Beetlejuice," which I may or may not believe. Regardless, great song. Enjoy!

159. autumnal activities!

Yesterday, my boy and I went on a little journey around my town. We got Panera for lunch, then went to Target to pick up some scary movies, not-so-scary movies, and a cardigan that Elizabeth from Delightfully Tacky featured here. On our way back, we stopped and got coffee at Starbucks. I got a Pumpkin Spice latte, which I never had until a few weeks ago and now I'm in love. Before we went home, we stopped at a farm by my house for some pumpkins, mums, and other Halloween treats.

My boyfriend is a ram who drinks coffee and I'm a pig!

Every year, this farm sets up a weird "Wizard of Oz" theme area. This year's display was pretty awesome. A little boy next to us referred to Glinda as Lady Gaga and I laughed and laughed.

When we got home, we watched "Addams Family Values," "Singin' in the Rain," and "School of Rock." Random, huh? I'm thinking of dressing up as Wednesday at some point for Halloween this year.

Hope you all had a lo…

158. peacocks ready to be eaten.

Image
One of my RL friends posted this on Facebook the other day and I am obsessed. I know peacocks are like mustaches and currently deer(?) in the Etsy world. They're found all over in different styles and forms and it's a bit of a saturated market, but still--peacocks are gorgeous creatures. These wedding cakes are absurdly cool. Too bad my birthday just passed a month ago, because I would've loved one of these babies..

Also, speaking of peacocks on Etsy..my shop has a few peacock items remaining. Check them out too! Clicking on the image will bring you to the listing..

Items in my "FALL CLEARANCE SALE" section are an additional 50% off from now until Sunday at midnight. Items run from as low as $2 to $7.25. Don't miss out! :)

It's already Tuesday! Time is flying, isn't it? I can't believe it's mid-October. My shop has been open for almost 8 months, and I'm up to 60 sales which is mind-boggling to me. My day job has been pretty hectic, but I've been trying my hardest to stay focused on my shop and my blog regardless. Here's hoping I can keep it up without exhausting myself!
