New Year's Eve is just one short sleep away! It's absolutely crazy that 2016 is almost over. Doesn't it seem like it just started? Like many people, I'm excited for the promise of the new year, resolutions and all that. I'm also very excited to start using my new Rifle Paper Co. planner because I'm a geek. This past Saturday, I was lucky enough to attend an amazing bachelorette party at the Colorado Cafe. Line dancing, bull riding, a bunch of babes, a drink called "Swamp Water" – perfection. Living in a shore town is proving to be quite a sartorial challenge so far. The weather can be so different here compared to my parents' house or my office. There's even a big difference between the coastline and my apartment four blocks inland! Once summer hits, it's just going to be hot all the time, and getting dressed will involve throwing a dress over a bathing suit. Since it's still spring and the temperature keeps fluctuating, I've developed a system to stay comfortable throughout the day with some transitional spring essentials. One of my favorite memories from my recent trip to LA was one of the first. As soon as I arrived at my friends' apartment, we decided to take a hike in Runyon Canyon. Now if you know me at all, you know I don't like exercising. I figured, "When in Rome," ya know? This was around 2PM PST when I'd been awake since 4AM EST without eating any food, so it maybe wasn't the wisest choice, but I regret nothing. The views were truly extraordinary, even on a smoggy, hazy LA afternoon. It felt good to get the ole heart pumping, even though at times I thought it was going to come out of my chest like The Chestburster . Why isn't the map on my screen working, United? I'm spending my flight slowly starving to death (One little wafer cookie, United?
