Fall, Fashion, and Frugality with Fashionme!

Fall is finally here in Asbury Park! Don't get me wrong - summer is cool, especially in a beach town like AP, but fall is the coolest. I've always loved fall since I was a kid. All of the best things are in fall: my birthday (technically it's still in the summer but only by a few days, shh), back to school (and school supplies and new planners :D), Halloween, and not permanently sweating. It's everything!

However! Since fall unofficially started (even since it's officially started), time has been flying and I don't like it. I'm trying to slow it down by being present in each moment and not rushing to the next big event. I guess it's not working, though. Any tips?

On that note, Christmas will be here before we know it. I've been trying hard to be better with my money recently (more on that later), so I'm preparing for the holiday season a little sooner than usual. I always have grand plans - buying one gift a week starting in August, wrapping with recycled materials, buying "experiences" instead of gifts, etc. But every year, like clockwork, time flies and I lose track of it and before I know it I'm at the mall, sweating in Lush and panic-buying gifts for my aunts. NOT THIS YEAR. I've got a plan and I'm sticking to it.

One of the most important things on Lauren's Official Plan to Not Ruin Christmas is to smartly utilize Black Friday sales. As a wannabe/partial minimalist, I should hear the words "Black Friday sale" and cover my ears, running away screaming. Black Friday sales can actually be a very useful tool in saving money while spending money, if you are resourceful about it.

And speaking of sales, Fashionme is an online shop that offers low-price garment AND frequently has great sales going on. I've partnered with them today to share my favorite picks. The leopard print coat above is my absolute favorite! I don't know if I would ever even wear it, or if it would hang on my wall for me to stare at all day.

I'm also very into their selection of waistcoats - so great for fall days when it's colder in the mornings and the weather warms up midday.
