Today I have what is likely the easiest DIY in the whole world. Well, maybe not the very easiest, but it is terribly easy. If you are anything like me, you have a few old t-shirts that you love but never wear and can't bring yourself to get rid of. If that sounds like you, boy do I have some great news! With the help of a sewing machine and a pair of scissors, you can turn your old t-shirts from concerts, fundraisers, college, and wherever else into original and very earth-friendly tote bags. In four simple steps, you can bring new life to your old t-shirts.
Step 1: Find a t-shirt.

Step 2: Turn the t-shirt inside out and stitch the hem shut. I like to go back and forth a few times to make sure it's really secure. Also, I'm pretty terrible with the sewing machine, but if I can do it so can you!

Step 3: Cut off the sleeves and the collar.

Step 4: Enjoy your new tote bag.

See? I told you it was easy! ;)
P.S. I was supposed to post this DIY back in January after this outfit post. Way to go, Lauren! Haha!
Loooove it. Also, your hair looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteThank you! The photos are from January, though. If you saw what my hair looked like right now you'd laugh. ;)
