Hurricane Sandy.

Well, these last few days have been a whirlwind. Hurricane Sandy came and went, most of New Jersey (and most of the northeast) is left in ruins. Fortunately for my family, we suffered minimal damage. A few branches fell, part of our fence is torn up, and we went without power for a few days and without Internet for even longer, but in the grand scheme of things, we lucked out. My aunt and her family on Staten Island have a yard and first floor completely flooded, most of my beloved Jersey shore is gone, friends in Jersey City and Hoboken had to evacuate. Gas lines are miles long, many homes are still without power, and dozens of people are dead. I truly admire all the emergency workers, government leaders, and volunteers who are working tirelessly to put us back together. Please donate if you can, and please check out yesterday's post (all November blog sponsor money will be donated!).
