back and better than ever.

Hello, long-lost friends! Did you miss me? I certainly missed you. Honest. I've spent the last three-or-so weeks interning/helping a family friend start up a clothing store. The hours are very, very long, but I'm learning a lot. I don't know how those bloggers with full-time commitments (job, motherhood) do it! I'm so sad that I've fallen off the face of the web-earth, though I'm committed to getting back to my normal posting schedule. Part of this commitment-motivation comes from the sheer excitement I'm feeling about the Texas Style Council! I leave bright and early tomorrow morning with my darling Maria of Little Tree Vintage for a weekend jam-packed with a lot of learning and a lot of fun in sunny(?) Austin, Texas! If any of you are going, please leave a comment; I'd love to "meet" before we actually meet. ;)

This outfit is typical of what I wear to the shop daily. On any given day, I can be training someone at the register, counting inventory, or going on trips to various locations. I try to be dressed for anything. This cozy red sweater was my grandma's, and I can barely take it off. If I'm not wearing a dress, I'm wearing these jeans. They are my go-to bottoms. I keep it simple with comfortable shoes, like these Toms, and a basic grey v-neck. Finishing touches include my basic jewelry, a big watch, a vintage owl necklace, and a giant purse to carry anything and everything.

vintage sweater: was my grandma's | v-neck: victoria's secret | jeans: gap | shoes: toms
watch: target | vintage necklace: gift from frank's brother | purse: modcloth
