Wish + Dream.

Today is a great day.

I spend most of my days blogging, working on the shop, and doing other day-to-day kind of tasks. Lately I've been feeling very stuck. My new inventory project was and is a big process that has overwhelmed me, to say the least. I live in my parents' home and my bedroom is also my photography studio, half of my inventory storage, my office, my shipping station, and my workspace. I am one of those people who needs organization. Maybe it's because I'm a Virgo or because I'm the first-born child, but I can't work if my desk is messy. My tiny bedroom is full of boxes and bags and some days I feel like I'm drowning. I wake up so early every day with a newly updated to-do list and a big cup of coffee, all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Then suddenly it's dark outside again and I feel like I've accomplished nothing. This might shine through here on the blog. I have photos and content from as far back as October that I want to share here, but every day there is some stupid problem or set-back that keeps slowing me down. I mentioned that I was working on building a table. I had this idea in my head that if I had a proper desk with room for my computer and other work essentials, I would be more productive and successful. Then the desk took longer than expected to finish (darn you, table legs!) and I spent most days in bed wondering, "Will life actually be better with a table or am I just kidding myself?" Well the table is finished (I'll share more about it soon, I swear!), and I'm happy to report that it is helping with productivity! I reorganized my room and a bunch of files on my computer. I've listed new items in the shop and I'm blogging. If it wasn't for the fact that I misplaced my new favorite ring (I. WILL. FIND. YOU.), this would be a red-letter day.

The song at the top of this post is pretty fitting for today. Like I said earlier, most of my days are spent doing menial tasks and checking items off the to-do list, but today is different. I've had not one, but three really great ideas for the near-future. Three! Tonight, Frank and I are having dinner and hopefully he won't mind me talking his ear off with all these plans. I'll be back tomorrow with an exciting giveaway and a new How to Wear Vintage. xoxo
